The magic of the winter season returns to Lethbridge with the Winter Lights Festival. The beautiful Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden will be decorated with over 115,000 lights. Stroll the garden paths under the dazzling stars and lights. The festival is Southern Alberta’s new winter tradition.

On December 23rd Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden will be marking the 85th birthday of His Majesty The Emperor Akihito. Join us for special treats and festivities. 

Join the SAWA team as they do a presentation on Okonomiyaki in the presentation tent at 7:00pm and 8:00pm. See Okonomiyaki event under calendar of events on December 15th and 23 for more information.  Yo can purchase Okonomiyaki after each presentation for $5.00

Koko's restaurant will be here to make Okinawa Donuts. $3.00 two or $5.00 for four. Okinawa donuts are warm and delicious. 

The garden will be open from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm to view the

lights. In addition, horse and wagon rides will be available on this night from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. 

Single admission to the Winter Lights Festival is $7.50. But, for the real festival experience check out our new Tomodachi (friendship) and Kazoku (family) packages, which include hot beverages and matcha cookies at great savings.

Guests can now buzz through the lineups by purchasing an online ticket that is valid on any of the nights the garden is open for the Winter Lights Festival.
