Mckayla Rebalkin took a few minutes to tell us a little bit about herself. She is new to Lethbridge but is very connected to her community.

“I'm Mckayla Rebalkin, an owner of Tiger Bee Boutique. My passion is providing women of all ages with clothing and accessories that they're going to love to wear and show others. My favorite part of my job is meeting new people and learning about new people and hearing other people's stories, what they're doing in life, where they work, etc. about their family and friends. But I just love this building so much because it's a historic piece of Lethbridge and it's a beautiful character building that has been restored.

I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and I've been in Lethbridge for about a year and a half now. I just love the experience downtown in Lethbridge, and I love connecting with other small businesses; supporting one another, uplifting each other, getting involved with the events and just the community of Lethbridge and it's a really growing community. So I wanted to get involved and put my shop down here. I definitely prefer to support local businesses over corporations just because I know how hard it is for small businesses to get started and keep running, especially during the world we're living in right now.

I'm also a harm reduction worker of the safe consumption site in Lethbridge. As a paramedic. I really enjoy helping other people. And I wanted to go into the healthcare field. And I know how much addiction is in our world right now. And I really wanted to be a part and help people through their healing journey.

Go check out Tiger Bee Boutique at 316 5 St S #207in the Oliver Building.
