Lots of metal and fundraisers this week

It seems to have been a busy couple of weeks in Lethbridge.
It is all about metal  and fundraisers this week.
Look for a week’s preview as well as interviews with Grande Prairie metal band  Edge of Attack, who play one of four big metals shows in Lethbridge this week.
On a mellower note, look for an interview with folk/ roots musician Cam Penner and later  in the week, Kitchener songwriter Lynn jackson.
It is also a good week for rap shows, so look for an interview with Sweatshop Union’s Kyprios, who returns to play a solo show at Scores on the weekend.
If you missed it last week, Firedamp, a play about the Coalhurst mining disaster returns to the stage at the Sterndale Bennett Theatre this week. Southern Alberta  drama teacher Arlene Purcell  wrote the play in 1998 and has brought it back by popular demand. Another locally written play the Tighty Whities Present Death won the provincial One Act Play Festival in High River this year. So read all about it later in the week.
There are also concert reviews, pics and CD reviews with more to come.
A and from last week, there are interviews with Flying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers, Kayla Luky, Dan Frechette, plus a peek at CASA’s grand opening and the first art  exhibit in Lethbridge’s new arts centre.
