St. Patrick’s day events and Prairie Folk Tournament this week

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all week long  with a lot of shows happening through the week. Check out the week’s preview of L..A Beat for the details.
 The Lethbridge Firefighters Pipes and drums have two gigs this week including an opening slot for the Real McKenzies at Bo Diddly’s. You can read an interview with  Paul McKenzie about recording the band]s new Cd in Nanton and their new line up on L.A beat.
Also look  for interviews with Montreal blues/ soul musician Cecile Doo-Kingue who plays this week.
 The Prairie Folk Tournament  returns to Lethbridge this week, so check out interviews with the Ball Gag N’ Chain Gang and Kory Istace who are playing that two day event at the SLice.
 Up and coming Edmonton based pop/ rock/ punk band Rend are also in town this week to play the Victory Church Revolution program, so check out the interview with them.
 The Kiwanis Music and Speech Arts Festival begins this week, so don’t forget to check out the  preview of that, particularly  on the new pip organ classes.
